 First Pre-Season Friendly.Town's County League squad played their first pre-season friendly last night at Cottered, and although rusty gave us all hope for the forthcoming campaign.
The evening was spread over four 30 minute games, with both Cottered and Town playing teams made up of first and reserve team players.
The first match ended in a 0-0 stalemate, and Buntingford lost the second 2-1 despite a great strike from Brett Leader.
The third game saw Buntingford find their stride and the 4-0 victory was well-deserved.
The final match saw Buntingford go down to a late goal despite having most of the play and many chances; pleasingly though, the signs were there that our ambitions for the 2010/11 season have a real possiblity of fruition and with a bit more match-fitness and sharpness the omens are looking good!
